This week I touch on kids events at the Singapore Writers Festival, Snakes in Singapore, Lau Pa Sat and free movie tickets or popcorn.
The Singapore Writers Festival is running a series of free events for kids. The program is running from the 2nd to the 10th of November designed for children from 4 to 14, includes nursery rhymes, story telling and treasure hunts. Full listings here.
Snakes in Singapore
If like us you live next to a little bit of jungle you might come across the odd snake and I’m not talking about a grass snake. We don’t come across them frequently, once every six months or so but you can tell they have been reported when sulphur has been laid down along the paths. So a yellow power means something like a Equatorial Spitting Cobra or King Cobra been seen!
Edit: Looks like they do something similar in Hong Kong:
Lau Pa Sat
We were in the CBD last Sunday and noticed that Lau Pa Sat is closed for renovation. I don’t know when it’s reopening but a warning if you have visitors soon and are thinking of taking them there.
Free popcorn or movie ticket!
From now to 24th November, catch a movie @ GV City Square and be rewarded with a free popcorn or a complimentary movie ticket!
