Here we are at the final weekend of rugby with a clash between the irresistible force and the immovable object. A battle of Titans! Yup it’s a cliché central and here are my predictions for this weekend.
First here is a link to my review of the rugby from last weekend.
How did your predictions go last week?
1 from 2, I should have gone with my gut and not head in the Saints v Saracens clash.
Bath v Saracens
We are down to the final two and it would be a shame if it was an easy pick. There are all the clichés as I put in the intro of the attacking Bath and wolf pack Saracens. At the end of the day both these sides are comfortable with their defence and can play attacking rugby. This will be a tight struggle and it’s going to come down to which team spots and takes their opportunities. Bath did make the Amlin final last year but it wasn’t a game played in front of 80 thousand people. Saracens have the more experience at this level but have the losses scared them or made them ready? I feel that experience will enable them to win a tight one.

Gloucester v Bordeaux Bègles
Gloucester were taken into extra time last weekend but they have been able to rest some players recently as the Premiership has not mattered for a while. They have been looking much more like a team and have home advantage even if they did finish 9th in the league. Bordeaux have had a good season finishing just in the top half of the Top14. But looking at their Challenge cup performances this year do they see the European competitions as a hindrance or a blessing? Add to that there are the clichés of French travelling teams and I have to go with the home side.

Junior Rugby World Championship
The JRWC kicks off at the beginning of June and I’ll be doing my usual predictions and reviews for that as well. Please join in the fun with my SuperBru prediction league.
