Only 4 games to go, well for most of the teams, so the pressure is ratcheted up for those fighting for playoff spots. Here are my round 19 predictions.
First here is a link to my round-up of last weekend’s action.
How did last weekends predictions go?
6 from 6, a perfect round!
Newport Gwent Dragons v Ospreys
The obvious answer for this is Ospreys win, but if you look at Dragons record it makes for some interesting reading. Three out of their four wins have been at home on a Friday night. Add in that Ospreys have lost their last three games and this suddenly looks like a home win. Still I didn’t hold my nerve and I have gone for an Ospreys win.

Edinburgh v Zebre
Simply a big win for Edinburgh to boost their slim hopes of making the playoffs. But even if they do miss out on the playoffs it will help them in the fight for a top 6 place and entry into the Champions Cup.

Ulster v Connacht Rugby
My pick of the round sees table topping over achieving Connacht visit Ulster who are suddenly scrapping for their top 6 position. Ulster have slipped from topping the table a few weeks ago with their only recent win being over Zebre. Connacht on the other hand are on a run of 6 wins. With that form I’m going against public opinion and predicting tight win for the visitors.

Scarlets v Cardiff Blues
Scarlets are fighting at the top of the table and hoping to secure a home semi final in the playoffs. The obvious call is a home win but Cardiff have been showing dome improved form. However those good results have been at home with their only away win was against Dragons. So it looks like the obvious call is the right call for this one.

Benetton Treviso v Glasgow Warriors
An easy one with the on form Warriors getting five points away at Treviso who prop up the bottom of the table. Warriors are forth in the table and with a game in hand still have an outside chance of a home playoff. So if Warriors do get in a groove expect them to push that advantage all the way.

Leinster v Munster
In seasons past this would have been the game of the round and probably deciding who would top the table. However Munster are in a rebuilding phase and this season has been disappointing for their fans. If they are not careful though it could turn to disastrous if they slip out of the top 6 and a Champions Cup place. With Leinster fighting for a home semifinal though I think that they will have too much in this clash.
