Recently in Super Rugby the drop kick conversion has been a hot topic. There were several tries reviewed after being awarded that led to players saying they would take a quick drop to keep the try. It happened in week 12 where there was a missed forward pass in the build up to a try.
This is the first in a 3 part series, here I talk about quickly taken drop kicks to stop a try being reviewed. Next time I’ll talk about the TMO and the technology they have and the third piece will be about what is shown on big screens in stadiums.
