Round 4 sees the reverse of round 3 so all these sides will know each other. How much can they change in a week? We’ll have to wait and see but here are my predictions on how I think it will pan out.
First here is a link to my round-up of all the action from around the globe last weekend.
How did the Round 3 predictions go?
7 from 10, I didn’t see the Pro12 standing up so well
Here’s my predictions and read below for my reasons.
Glasgow Warriors v Racing Metro 92
Warriors got a memorable win in Paris last weekend, that means Racing have lost their opening 2 games and know that they are realistically out of it. Will Racing therefore rest some players or look for revenge? Either way Glasgow should back themselves at home and have the belief to win this now. I’m backing a narrow home win.

Bordeaux Begles v Exeter Chiefs
If Racing are probably out of it Exeter definitely are with 3 losses. I fully expect them to rest a couple of players and Bordeaux should be looking to do the double.

Leicester Tigers v Munster
Tigers got nilled by Munster last weekend but do have a tendency to bounce back at home. They are without a defence coach at the moment though so whilst they are going well in the Premiership everything is not good behind the scenes. Munster have been going great over the last month or so and whilst I think the gap will be narrower I think they should pull off an away win here.
Munster by 7
Toulouse v Zebre
Put simple it’s a big home TBP win. Zebre are out of their depth in this competition.

Connacht Rugby v Wasps
Wasps got a good victory last weekend even with them suffering a debatable yellow card. Beale is fit and adds to their armoury of attacking talent. I think that they will just have too much firepower for Connacht to contain. Again though I think this one will be closer than last weekend.
Wasps by 5
Leinster v Northampton Saints
Saints have the distractions of Hartley’s red card to deal with this week and have been looking poor this season. It does feel like they need a change at the helm and refresh the club. Leinster are having another good season sitting at the top end of the Pro12 and going well in this competition. So this is an easy home win and probably a TBP too.

Scarlets v Toulon
Scarlets played a lot against Toulon and will take a lot of confidence from that. At home they will think that they have a real chance. However Toulon have so many big game players and I think they will power to a victory but not an easy commanding 1.
Toulon by 5
Castres v Montpellier
This 1 really had me at 6s and 7s, in the end I plumped for the away win. When you have 2 French sides playing each other it’s safer to go with the home side. In this case though there is such a South African influence at Montpellier that they don’t suffer the same as other sides. Also they have got their act together and are going well.
Montpellier by 5
Clermont Auvergne v Ulster
Can Ulster do it again? Not away from home I don’t think. Clermont will be looking for revenge and we will see a fired up side. Ulster did very well to win last weekend but I don’t think that they have the class to do it away from home too.
Clermont Auvergne by 7
Sale Sharks v Saracens
The fixture last weekend was an absolute drubbing for Sale. At home they should put up a better fight but it’s still a Saracens victory all the way.
