Gallagher Premiership 2018-2019 Round 7 Predictions

I feels like an age since we have any Premiership rugby! A quick reminder of the table sees Exeter and Saracens 10 points clear at the top followed by a group from3rd down to 8th that feels close before a small gap to the bottom 4 teams.

Here is my video with my Gallagher Premiership Round 7 Predictions:

Gloucester Rugby v Leicester Tigers – Gloucester Rugby by 5

There are a couple of tasty clashes this weekend and this is one of them. 4th hosts 5th in the table with only 1 point between them. With Tigers missing players like Youngs and May though I think that along with home advantage should see Gloucester strengthen their position in the top 4.

Harlequins v Newcastle Falcons – Newcastle Falcons by 3

Quins might sit in 6th place and have twice as many points as Falcons but remember this Newcastle side did finish top 4 last season. Also Quins tend to struggle during the international windows as they miss key personal. So I can see a tight away victory here.

Bath v Worcester Warriors – Bath by 3

Another game where both sides are next to each other in the table. 7th visits 8th in this clash with both sides on 13 points. For me this one is a real coin flip, I’ve gone with the home side purely because they are at home but Worcester did use the Premiership cup to get some form in their first choice players so this could go either way.

Northampton Saints v Wasps – Wasps by 5

The last 3 games are the top 3 teams in the league playing 3 of the bottom 4. This one I think will be the closest of the lot as whilst Wasps are 3rd they are still some way behind the top 2.

Saracens v Sale Sharks – Saracens by 10

Very few sides visit Saracens and come away with a win. I can’t see it happening this weekend but I have closed the margin due to the players Saracens are missing through injury and international call ups.

Bristol v Exeter Chiefs – Exeter Chiefs by 10

Bristol will trouble teams at home but I don’t think they’ll be able to standup to the Chiefs. Again I’ve narrowed the margin due to international call ups.

Matt from Crashball rugby agrees with me on all the 6 games this weekend, great minds think alike?
