Top 14 2018-2019 Round 10 Predictions

The Top14 is a really tight battle from the top to the lower mid table. At the other end though it looks like Perpignan are already going to be relegated. The big question is out of the next 3 or 4 teams who could be joining them.

Here is my video with my Top 14 Round 10 Predictions:

Bordeaux Begles v Toulon – Bordeaux Begles by 10

The opening game is an easy one to pick, Toulon have been miserable this year and Bordeaux are yet to lose at home.

Agen v Montpellier – Montpellier by 7

Agen have a decent home record having won 2, draw 1 and lost 1 but Montpellier will be hurting from their last 2 losses and haven’t lost to a team beneath them yet. So this is one where I think the away team will take it.

Pau v Toulouse – Toulouse by 5

Pau are one of those un-French teams that wins both home and away. That also means they lose home and away. All their victories so far this season have been against the bottom 4 teams. So the visit of 2nd in the table looks like it’s going to lead to the home side losing.

Perpignan v Castres – Castres by 5

Put simply Perpignan haven’t won a game all season. Also Castres are one of those sides that picks up away wins so another home loss.

Racing 92 v Grenoble – Racing 92 by 7

Grenoble have only lost 1 out of their last 5 games, but those 5 games have also included 2 draws. I was tempted to go for the draw in this one as Racing haven’t been great at home but when it’s 4th v 11th that’s surely has to be a home win.

Stade Francais v La Rochelle – Stade Francais by 7

3rd hosting 5th you would think should be a cracker that could go either way. That’s until you realise that La Rochelle’s position is based on their 5 wins from 5 games at home and they have only won once on the road. Stade have slipped up at home once this season so they aren’t unbeatable but La Rochelle don’t feel like the side that will be the winners here.

Clermont Auvergne v Lyon – Clermont Auvergne by 5

Clermont top the table and that’s off the back of their perfect record at home. Lyon have picked up a couple of away victories this year but I think they are going to find this a trip too far.
