Top 14 2018-2019 Round 11 Predictions

The Top 14 is such a congested table! It only takes a couple of wins on the trot to move up. However so many teams find it impossible to do so especially away from home. This is such a fascinating season with some top teams having dropped a long way.

Here is my video with my Top 14 Round 11 Predictions:

La Rochelle v Racing 92 – La Rochelle by 5

4th hosts 3rd, this could be a cracker. I have to go with the home side though that have built their season on making their home a fortress. Racing though do have the tools to end that run.

Toulouse v Stade Francais – Toulouse by 5

Another potentially great match-up sees 2nd host 5th and Stade are only in 5th as they have dropped their last two games. That lack of current form though is what makes it slightly easier to go with the home side.

Castres v Agen – Castres by 7

With the four teams above Castres playing each other this weekend it’s a great opportunity for them to climb a couple of places up from 6th. Agen are second from bottom and without a win on the road so far this season it’s looking like a long afternoon for them.

Lyon v Pau – Lyon by 7

This might be 9th v 10th but the gap is bigger than that. The table is essentially split 1st to 9th as a group then 10th to 13th with Perpignan dangling off the bottom of the table. So we should be looking at a home win here

Montpellier v Clermont Auvergne – Montpellier by 3

Montpellier have been inconsistent this season but Clermont do drop points away from home. I think Montpellier are better than their 7th in the table suggests and I think they will beat the table toppers.

Perpignan v Bordeaux Begles – Bordeaux Begles by 5

A record will be broken! Well unless it’s a draw. Perpignan have not won a game all season and Bordeaux haven’t won away. You have to say this is Bordeaux’s best chance and they should take the victory.

Toulon v Grenoble – Toulon by 3

12th hosting 11th, how the mighty Toulon have fallen. These are the kind of game that will keep Toulon in the top flight. Whilst I think it’s very likely that Grenoble will walk away with a LBP, for them to get more would be their first win away from home or their second draw away from home…..
