6 Nations 2019 Round 4 Predictions

The 6 Nations and Women’s Six Nations might have taken a break last weekend but The Americas Rugby Championship continued so this is their last weekend. I’ll give you my predictions for all 3 tournaments.

Here is my video with my 6 Nations 2019 Round 4 Predictions:

6 Nations (Men’s) – Round 4

Scotland v Wales – Wales by 5

This could have been a really good clash but unfortunately I think that injuries are going to rob us of that. Sure Finn Russell should be back for Scotland but I did see a 23 man squad of injured players selected for Scotland on Twitter. That’s far too much for a country with only 2 professional teams to cope with.

This might not be the best Welsh team of all time but it is a very good one and they should add to their long winning streak this weekend. Oh quick stat Wales have won 9 of the last 10 games between these 2 teams.

This is going to be a battle and I’ll be live on YouTube straight after the game brining you post match reaction.

England v Italy – England by 10

Will England pick a full strength team or will Eddie Jones look to give some fringe players experience? We’ll have to wait and see but they should put Italy away just like everyone else has so far this Championship.

Italy are improving and we’ll see a big jump in performances at some point over the next couple of years. There has been real progress with the Italian club sides and that will tell at the next level up, just not yet.

Ireland v France – Ireland by 5

After the first couple of rounds this looked like just a question of margin. I still think that Ireland will win this game but it could be more competitive than we thought. France will have some confidence after that win over Scotland and Ireland aren’t firing on all cylinders in this tournament. That’s fine as they’ll want to be doing that later in the year.

This is going to be a battle and I’ll be live on YouTube straight after the game brining you post match reaction.

6 Nations (Women’s) – Round 4

Scotland Women v Wales Women – Wales Women by 3

This is the battle to avoid the wooden spoon. Wales draw with Italy has shown that they are slightly ahead and should do enough to keep off the bottom of the table.

England Women v Italy Women – England Women by 20

Italy are much improved and are on track to finish 3rd in the Championship. The problem is that there is a gulf between the top 2 and the rest of the teams so expect a home TBP win.

Ireland Women v France Women – France Women by 20

England and France are ahead of the rest so we should expect an away TBP win. Ireland would hope for a LBP as that would keep Italy just in sight but I can’t see that happening.

Americas Rugby Championship (ARC) – Round 5

USA v Canada – USA by 7

This ARC has been an absolute cracker with some unexpected results. For the USA that’s seen them surrender their crown. You do need to realise that they have released some of their top players back to their European clubs though. Canada have had a tough old time and are on a losing streak of 6 games against the USA that I think is going to get longer.

Chile v Argentina XV – Argentina XV by 40

This was always going to be a tough tournament for Chile and it’s no easier this weekend as they face the top team in the competition. The Argentina XV will pick up a TBP win away if their form continues.

Uruguay v Brazil – Uruguay by 5

It’s been a really good tournament for these 2 sides who have both picked up significant results. Uruguay beat the USA and Brazil beat Canada. It’s going to be a scrummaging contest for Uruguay but outside that they are going to have too much class for the upcoming Brazil.
