We are past halfway in the regular season and so teams that want to make the payoffs really need to up their game. Toronto I’m looking at you, sat in 6th but needing wins to keep in touch with the pacesetters. Catchup on last weekend’s action with The Runner Sports round-up.
Here is my video with my MLR 2019 Round 12 Predictions:
New Orleans Gold v Utah Warriors – New Orleans Gold by 20
NOLA are top of the table and Utah are second from bottom. So this game is an easy one to call. Uath’s only win of the season has been over Austin who sit bottom of the table with no wins. The only question really is about the margin, NOLA only won by 2 points up in Utah. However the Warriors have been on the end of a couple of big defeats recently so I’m going big.
Houston SaberCats v Seattle Seawolves – Seattle Seawolves by 7
After losing their opening 2 games on the road Seattle have won their last 2. Those were against the bottom 2 sides and both times they won by 12 points. I’m going for a slightly smaller margin this time as the SaberCats are a better side. Also whilst they have suffered some blow outs they have done much better in their last 2 games.
Rugby United New York v San Diego Legion – Rugby United New York by 3
This is the game of the round! RUNY have taken this tournament by storm in their opening season. Their only loss has been away to Seattle and not many teams win there. In the previous meeting between these 2 sides it was close with RUNY closing it out by 2 points. I think that we will see another tight affair as Legion having lost only 2 games this season. Interestingly both those losses were at home to the expansion franchises.
Toronto Arrows v Austin Elite – Toronto Arrows by 10
Last week I followed the trend of Toronto results, LWLWLWLWL. So this weekend should see their first home win of the season. I know correlation and causation aren’t the same thing but backing it up is that they are hosting a side that hasn’t won yet this season. Let’s hope they don’t run out of beer this time as I think the home fans will be celebrating.
