The Rugby World Cup is grabbing everyones attention but we are still 6 weeks away from it kicking off. That means we have a whole host of warmup games to come over the coming weeks so that sides are ready. You can join in the picking fun in my SuperBru Pool.
It’s all a bit of a phoney war as teams want to make sure they are in the right condition come the tournament. Whilst at the same time not wanting to give away too much of their game plan. Also sides will be trying to give fringe players game time as well incase they are needed due to injuries. With all this going on it can be a bit of a lottery making picks but it’s still fun.

Ireland v Italy – Ireland by 20
I have no idea what the sides are going to look like in this game. However I do know what the historic record looks like between these 2 sides. That’s a lot of green and also a lot of big margins. I can’t see it being anything different this weekend.
England v Wales – England by 5
Oh boy this is a tough one to call. Old rivals that hate losing to each other but there is a bigger goal a few weeks away. Will be be seeing full strength sides or some experimentation? In the past we have seen agreements between countries that they would play a first team at home and a second string away. I don’t know if anything like that has happened this year but I’m going with the home side in what might be a heart over head pick.
I am concerned that Eddie Jones has lost the plot a bit the closer we get to the Rugby World Cup. It’s a bit reminiscent of Lancaster’s reign. We’ve seen players such as Danny Care who’s been part of the setup discarded and relatively inexperienced players brought in.
Gatland on the other-hand has taken Wales to 2nd in the World and secured a Grand Slam this year. That looks much more like peeking at the right time in the Rugby World Cup cycle.
I will be Live on YouTube straight after the final whistle with post match reaction.
The Rugby Championship Predictions, where Australia host New Zealand and Argentina host South Africa in the final round.
The Pacific Nations Cup Predictions, which sees Tonga v Canada, Japan v USA and Fiji v Samoa.
Also Russia will play a Russian Premier League XV on the 12th of August.
