NRC 2019 Round 2 Predictions

I had a cracking start to the NRC! The only prediction I got wrong in Round 1 was the draw. I don’t think I’ll be able to keep that up so I’ll enjoy it while it lasts 🙂

Fiji Drua v Force – Fiji Drua by 3

The Force might have spent more time together than any other team but do they know how to defend? They did win last weekend but the score was 50-49!!! Yup nearly a century of points.

The Drua are always hard to beat at home and if you’re not going to defend then it could get painful.

Melbourne Rising v NSW Country Eagles – NSW Country Eagles by 5

A tough opening for the Rising and this weekend they face a side that’s full of Sydney University players. They’ll be full of confidence after the followed up their Shute Shield win with a win in the opening round of the NRC. This might be a long old season for the Rising.

Brisbane City v Sydney Rays – Brisbane City by 7

City won the first 2 titles and are coming off the back of a draw with the reigning champions. The Rays have a poor history and I can’t see it getting any better this weekend.

Queensland Country v Canberra Vikings – Queensland Country by 3

This should be a cracker. Sure Country lost last weekend but they did score 49 points. The Vikings are always competitive and won away to Melbourne last weekend. However I’m backing the home side to add some spine to their defence this weekend.
