NRC 2019 Round 6 Predictions

Shocking week with the picks last weekend in the NRC, I got one right. That means I fell from 28th to 104th in the global standings on superbru. Not great so I really need a good round this weekend!

Canberra Vikings v Sydney Rays – Canberra Vikings by 10

The Vikings have a perfect record at home and Sydney have a less tham perfect record full stop. I can’t see Sydney adding to their 1 win of the season so far. Their only chance is the Vikings legendary inability to find any consistency as their win, lose, win, lose, win record so far this seasons shows.

Melbourne Rising v Fiji Drua – Melbourne Rising by 10

After a dreadful start to the season the Rising have turned things round. 2 wins on the trot will give them confidence. The Drua on the other hand still don’t travel well and so a home win is on the cards.

Queensland Country v NSW Country Eagles – NSW Country Eagles by 3

Queensland Country haven’t lost at home yet. So going for the Eagles is a bit of a risky pick. However the Eagles are the first team to beat the Force this year. I’m expecting them to carry that momentum onwards.

Force v Brisbane City – Force by 10

The Force will be looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season. That came on the road to the Eagles and you have to feel sorry for City who will bear the brunt of it this weekend.
